Second win for Mornar Bar

KK Mornar Bar achieved their second win in Group A of the 2009/2010 EUROHOLD Balkan League. In the opening game of their new arena in Bar, in front of 2500 spectators, the local Montenegrin squad defeated visiting OKK Beograd with 80:73, but the score could`ve been much bigger, if Mornar continued their first half display in the second 20 minutes.
 
The home side got off to a flying start, and were leading after the first ten minutes - 19:13. The second period was even better for Djordje Pavicevic`s team, as after 26:7, they were up 45:20 at halftime, and it seemed like it was going to be an easy win. Marko Icelic and his team weren`t thinking that way though.
 
OKK Beograd won the third quarter of the game 12:21, and their losing was cut to 16 points before the closing period of the game. In the fourth quarter, they weren`t able to turn things around, and they only dropped down the difference to 7 poitns after 23:32 in the last 10 minutes, to settle the final score at 80:73 in Mornar`s favor.
 
Milos Djurisic scored 16 points for Mornar. Alen Djelosevic added 15, while Anthony Brown had 16 and 7 rebounds. For OKK Beograd Nikola Lepojevic was the top scorer with 19 points, while the other player who finished in double digits were Milos Suzic (10) and Branko Andzic (16).
 
That was Mornar Bar`s second win so far, after the one in the first round against Steaua Turabo. On the other side, OKK Beograd lost for the first time, after three straight wins until now. Mornar occupy the second spot in Group B with a balance of 2-2, while OKK are on top with 3-1.
