Spartak didn`t surprise Feni Industries in Kavadarci

The team of Spartak Pleven wasn`t able to surprise Feni Industries in Jasmin Hall in Kavadarci tonight. Darin Velikov`s team was looking for their second win so far in the EUROHOLD Balkan Leagu, but Emil Rajkovic`s Feni squad won the game from Round 4 with 14 points - 93:79.
The game started pretty even, as after 3 minutes, the score was tied at 9:9. After that Spartak made an 6 to nothing run, to be ahead 9:15 with less than 5 minutes remaining until the end of the first. Spartak continued to hold the lead, as 2.40 before the buzzre they were ahead 14:20, but Feni made a 13:2 run, which was sealed with a three-pointer by Vlado Popovic at the buzzer, to get a deserved 27:22 lead.
3 minutes after the start of the second quarter, the biggest lead in the game so far was a fact - Feni were up by 10 points, 37:27. 3.30 before halftime their lead grew to 15 points - 47:32, but Spartak reduced the margin to 50:44 at halftime after an 12:3 run in the last 3 minutes of the half.
After halftime it was all Feni Industries on the floor, as at one point of the game, the home side were up by 18 points (68:50). After 30 minutes the score was 75:62 for Feni Industries.
In the last period, the home side maintained their lead, and at the end they were celebrating a 93:79 victory, which is their third so far and puts them on top in Group B in the EUROHOLD Balkan League. On the other side, Spartak are 1-3, and are occupying the fifth place, as the only team behind them is CSA Steaua Turabo who are 0-4.
Vlado Popovic was on fire tonight for Feni. He led the team with 21 points, as he shot 60% for 3 points - 6 out of 10. Dusan Knezevic had 15 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists in just 23 minutes, while Eftim Bogoev finished with 18 points and 6 assists. Slobodan Mihajlovski was the other player from the home team to finish in double digits, as he had 12 points and 6 rebounds.
Alexander Dyakovski had a good game for Spartak Pleven, finishing with 18 points. The point guard scored 4 out of his 7 attempts from long range. Rob Preston was one rebound short of a double-double, scoring 15 points along with 9 rebounds, while the team captain Hrisimir Dimitrov scored 13 points. Joe Kennerly was the fourth player to have more than 10 points, as he scored 12, along with 6 rebounds.
In their next game on the 15th of December Spartak are hosting CSA Steaua Turabo, who are still looking for their first win, while Feni Industries are visiting OKK Beograd.News
