Important win for Rilski Sportist

      Rilski Sportist inflicted a second consecutive lose on the champions Lukoil Academic 73-62. The hosts started the game better and after 10 minutes on the court they took a comfortable lead 25-15. The second quarter went went basket for basket and Rilski still led about 10 points. Simeon Naydenov made a three-pointer and made the biggest difference before the break - 40-25. Georgi Mladenov took a time-out and after that the "Students" managed to reduce the drop to 10 points at the half - 42-32.     "Riletso" started the second half a little nervously but after a 8-0 record, made a 15 points difference. In the last 10 minutes Lukoil tried to got back in the game but their efforts and individual expressions has not been enough to turn the result.      Lukoil ex-player Lamont Jones played a great game and finished with 15 points and 7 assists, and was one of the key figures for these successe. Travis Peterson was the best scorer in the game with 20 points, while David Burgees added 12 points and 7 rebounds. Chavdar Kostov finished with 14 points for the "Students".     After the series of bad results Lukoil Academic head coach Georgi Mladenov apply for retirement, and the director Sasho Vezenkov accepted it.
