James Life is the only American on Feni Industries` roster this season. So far, he still has a lot to show to the fans and officials in the EUROHOLD Balkan League. He is a graduate of the University of Massachussets and has played in England and Puerto Rico, before coming to Macedonia. In his four BIBL games he is averaging 7.8 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.2 assists per contest. He was kind to take a bit of his time and answer our questions.

You have played 4 games so far in the EUROHOLD Balkan League, how do you find the level of competition, and the other teams and players?

James Life: The level of competition in the Balkan League is not bad at all, it`s certainly not a league you can just over look.

You have played in Puerto Rico before coming here, was it hard for you to adapt in the new place?

JL: Well, this season has been very hard for me to adjust, extremely hard... it`s not because the level of competition, just the fact that my touches with the ball are extremely limited. Defensively, I just need to get it done more every night, instead of being inconsistent.

You`re 3 and 1 so far, do you think you can make it all the way to the Final Four?

JL: To be honest, this team has a very good chance, no doubt about it. We are winning games and learning as we go. Some teams learn after losing games, so we are fortunate to learn after winning.

Do you had any basketball role model, you were trying to build your game after?

JL: I never really did not that I can think of, I mean at one time as a kid I did say I wanted to be like Jordan, but who didn`t ? My game is just me...

Is this how you saw yourself after college - playing ball somewhere overseas, or attempting to make it to the NBDL and the NBA?

JL: Overseas. I knew I was not an NBA player, I wasn`t even sure if I was even gonna play again actually, but when I decided that I want to, I knew overseas would be the best for me.

Your team played in the Final Four last year, as Emil Rajkovic was the coach again. Do you think he has a big impact on this team, and what do you think about him as a coach?

JL: The impact he has on the team is unmeasurable, no doubt about that, he is very clever, a genuine, extremely honest person. I think every player that really truly loves the game, would love to play for coach Rajkovic. He`s young, extremely motivated and has an impressive resume already. He has many great years in front of him, and I think lots of championships as well. I`m not too sure if there is a place in Europe, where he couldn`t coach.

You`re in a new country, with new people, did you learn some of the language? What do you do in your spare time as well?

JL: The language is difficult, no doubt about it. I have learned some... words (laughs). In my spare time, I just go to the cafe, relax, play my PS3, and spend a lot of time sleeping and on the internet.
