Success for Lovcen against Cherno More
Lovcen celebrated again

Lovcen Cetinje enjoyed a succesful game against Euroins Cherno More tonight, as the home side defeated the "sailors" 90:77. This was Lovcen`s third win in Group A of the EUROHOLD Balkan League, as now they occupy the second spot with a balance of 3-2, while Cherno More are at the fourth spot with 2-3 - the same balance as last year`s champion Rilski Sportist. In the first quarter the game went better for the home side, as after 10 minutes of play, Lovcen were up 8 points - 22:14. In the second period of play, Cherno More managed to decrease the difference, and they were down only 2 points halfway through the game - 42:40 after 20 minutes.
After halftime Miodrag Cadija`s players started really strong, and after a close third period they were up 5 points - 66:61 before the decisive closing quarter. In the final 10 minutes of tonight`s game, Euroins Cherno More weren`t able to do anything special against their opponent, and after 24:16 for Lovcen, the game was closed at 90:77.
Aleksa Popovic was the top scorer not only for Lovcen, but in the whole game. He stringed in 23 points in 26 minutes, as he added 4 rebounds and 5 assists, and shot 80% for 2 and 3 points - both 4/5. Nikola Ivanovic finished with 16 points, 5assists and 6 rebounds. Another three players from the home squad finished in double digits - Bojan Pelkic had 12, and Bojan Dubljevic and Nikola Lalic had 10 each.
Tihomir Zhelev and Eric Webb were the top scorers for Daniel Dimitrov`s side, as each of them scored 15 points. The American playmaker also added 5 assists to his statistics. Vasil Kyosev added 14 points, while the captain Simeon Tsenov had 13 and 6 rebounds in Varna`s losing effort. Aleksandar Yanev had 10 and 6 rebounds.
In the first round after new year, Euroins Cherno More are visiting KK Metalac in Valjevo, while Lovcen are playing at home again, this time against CS Gaz Metan Medias, who are still the only unbeaten team in the EUROHOLD BIBL.
