Domestic leagues overview

This weekend, in two of the leagues which have participants in the EUROHOLD Balkan League - the NBL in Bulgaria and League A in Serbia, played the first round after the new year. Here is a short review of what happened at the local stage.Bulgaria:
Rilski Sportist - Levski 91:71
In the BIBL derby of the 11th round in the NBL, Rilski Sportist surprisingly dominated against Levski, and got the win at home, after beating the "Blues" with 20 points of difference - 91:71. "Professor" Lamont Jones gave another lesson of basketball, as he scored 22 points, along with 8 assists, 5 rebound and only 1 turnover. Travis Peterson had 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 steals. Aleksandar Gruev and Bogdan Boev added 14 and 12 points. For Levski Zlatin Georgiev was the top scorer with 13, Asen Velikov had 12, and Stefan Georgiev and Donald Cole added 10 each.
Spartak Pleven - Balkan 83:81
Spartak Pleven, which was short on players, since some of Darin Velikov`s boys were out sick achieved a valuable home win by only 2 points against Balkan. Aleksandar Dyakovski had a fabolous game with 24 points, shooting 5/7 from three-point territory. Iliya Stankov added 22, while Hrisi Dimitrov had 12 and 13 rebounds. For Balkan Atanas Radev had 23.
Chernomorec - Euroins Cherno More 92:98
In a high-scoring game, Euroins Cherno More won an important away game by six points. Dimitar Mirakovski made a dream debut for Daniel Dimitrov`s team, as he scored 31 points. Eric Webb added 27, and Krum Doychinov had 18. Martin Durchev scored 30 for the home side, but that wasn`t enough for them to secure a win.
Serbia:
KK Metalac - Proleter Zrenjanin 92:86
KK Metalac started off the new year with a win, as they overcame Proleter Zrenjanin by six - 92:86. Vladimir Panic led the way with 21 points and 7 assists, while Milan Trtic added 13. Three other players scored 11 points a piece - Nenad Kasabasic, ALeksandar Tanaskovic and Miroslav Radenkovic. Vid Zarkovic had 28 for Proleter, while former Spartak Pleven player Sasa Topcov scored only six.
Radnicki Basket - OKK Beograd 97:75
OKK Beograd, who still occupy the top spot in the league with an 11-4 balance suffered a tough loss against Radnicki, as they were blown out by 22 points - 97:75. Six OKK players finished in double digits, but that wasn`t enough for a win. Dragan Mitrovic scored the most - 13, Branko Andzic had 12, Nikola Lepojevic added 11, and Nikola Korac, Dragan Kruscic and Milos Suzic had 10 each.
