Feni overcame Levski but stayed third

Feni Industries started excellent the new year, after Macedonian runner-up attained
a very important victory over Bulgarian Levski 88-86. Levski had a two-point difference over the same opponent in Sofia, in the opening game of the season in the League. However, the “Blues” have a better points difference from all games, which kept them in the ranking before Feni. Both teams are on 4-2 record. The game in Kavadarci was very interesting from beginning to end, although the Macedonian team, led in most of the time but the distance never became a double-digit. Feni Industries started the match very strongly but Levski managed to withdraw before the break after successful shots of Cekovski and ex-Feni player

Donald Cole. During the second 20 minutes local side from Kavadarci,  increased their lead to eight points. However, Bulgarian Cup winner decreased the difference to  57:57, three minutes before the end of the third quarter, which ended at 67:64. The last quarter, Feni saved up the leading, while Donald Cole and consistently Aaron Harper missed from the three point line for and this wasted opportunity for decisive and equality the result. 44 seconds before the end of the game Levski trailing by five - 88:83 after a jump-shot by Vlado Popovic. Assen Velikov made a three pointer and back the hope for "Blues". In the last 20 seconds, Bulgarian side had a ball-position, but Aaron Harper missed to score, and Feni Industries celebrating their fourth victory. Vlado Popovic was the best scorer for Feni with 15 points, while Dusan Knezevic finished with 13 points and 8 rebounds for the success. Aaron Harper exploded with 29 points, but he had a very bad shot percentage. Donald Cole added 23 points in the losing effort.
