Here is the weekly overview of the local leagues, where the EUROHOLD Balkan League teams participate in.Bulgaria
Levski - Chernomorec 107:89
Levski finally got a win in the new 2010, as they overcame Chernomorec at home by 18 points. Aaron Harper had 30 points for the winners, and Stefan Georgiev added 25. The two of them were named Co-MVP`s of the round in Bulgaria.
Euroins Cherno More - Yambol 90:82
Euroins Cherno More bounced back with a win, after their loss to Metalac in the last round of the BIBL. Daniel Dimitrov`s side won against Yambol at home by 8 points, as they turned things around in the second half, after they were losing in the first. Krum Doychinov had a terrific game, finishing with 24 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists. Dimitar Mirakovski added 21 points off the bench.
Lukoil Academic - Spartak Pleven 97:63
Tough loss for Spartak, second in less than a week, after the one against OKK Beograd. Nothing was right for Pleven that night away from home. Veselin Georgiev scored the most points - 13, while Aleksandar Dyakovski and Hrisi Dimitrov scored 12 each. The one positive thing is that Rob Preston is back, after suffering from a bad cold.
Balkan - Rilski Sportist 80:79
Balkan surprised Rilski Sportist in the derby game of the last round, beating them dramatically by only one point. Rileco didn`t manage to find an answer on stopping Ivan Lilov. Even though they lost, Lamont Jones had an impressive performance with 7 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists. Aleksandar Gruev scored 28 points.
Serbia:
OKK Beograd - Ergonom Nis 88:72
OKK remained on top of the rankings, after they got their win number 12 this season in Serbia. Nikola Lepojevic led his side with 16 points, while Slobodan Dundjerski and Sasa Mijajlovic added 14 each. Nikola Korac and Milos Suzic had 10 a piece.
Vojvodina - KK Metalac 107:101
Metalac lost to Vojvodina in a very high scoring and interesting game.Vladimir Panic was the team`s top performer with his 31 points. Marko Ljubojevic added 24, and Milan Trtic and Dragomir Marojevic had 15 and 12 in the losing effort.
Romania:
CSU Sibiu - CSA Steaua Turabo 94:85
Another loss for Steua, as this time they fell short against Sibiu and lost by 9. Monty Mack had 30 points, while Ron Timus had 14 and 8 boards. Anthony Myles finished with 15.
Brasov - CS Gaz Metan Medias 77:82
Gaz Metan won against Brasov, after the shock loss to Lovcen in the EUROHOLD Balkan League earlier this week. Deven Mitchel led Bruno Soce`s squad with 21 points, while TituS Nicoara had 16. Jarrett Howell and Ivan Zigeranovic scored 15 each. For Brasov Bulgarian youngster Tzvetelin Ivanov had 16 points.
Montenegro: Lovcen - Gorstak 126:72 Lovcen achieved their seventh win this season in the Montenegrin championship, defeating Gorstak with 54 points of difference - 126:72. They now occupy the third spot with a record of 7-3. Mornar Bar play against Ulcijn today. The games from the championship in Macedonia resume on the 20th of March.
