KK Metalac achieved their fourth win in the EUROHOLD Balkan League, as they defeated the reigning champions from Rilski Sportist 77:70 last night in Valjevo.

Metalac dominated in the first half of the game, while Rilski did the same in the second, but didn`t manage to turn things around.

In the first period, Metalac got off to a great start, as they were leading by 8 points after the first 10 minutes - 28:20. They continued to play good and lead in the second as well, and had a deserved lead at halftime - 46:32.

After the halftime break, Rilski got off to a flying start, and after 8:21 in the third they were back in the game. Unfortunately, they didn`t have enough strength to do a complete turn around and lost 77:70.

David Burgess scored 16 points for Rilski, and Lamont Jones added 13. Aleksandar Gruev finished with 15, and Travis Peterson had 10.

For Metalac, Vladimir Panic had 14 points, Nenad Kasabasic added 13, and Stefan Bircevic also finished with 13.   Unfortunately, due to some problems for KK Metalac, there aren`t full stats available from the game.
