Dominant performance by Rilski against Rabotnicki

Rilski Sportist met the expectations against the struggling team of Rabotnicki, by beating them with 46 points of difference - 111:65 in front of nearly 1000 spectators in Arena Samokov in Samokov.Aleksandar Todorov gave chance to two of the young players on the team, Lubomir Kirov and Stanislav Vaklinov, by putting them in the starting line-up along with Travis Peterson, Aleksandar Gruev and Simeon Naydenov. On the other side, one of the most experienced players, left in Rabotnicki, Enes Hadjibulic didn`t participate in tonight`s game.
Rilski got off to a good start, and quickly got the lead. After 10 minutes they were up by 11 points - 32:21, as Sasho Gruev and Travis Peterson were impressing on the stat sheet - 10 assists for Gruev and 9 rebounds for Peterson.
Halfway through the game, Rileco were up by 18 points - 53:35, but the blowout was just about to begin, in the second half. The second 20 minutes were a complete nightmare for Rabotnicki, as they added another 27 points to their deficit, and after losing 57:30 in the second half, the final score was settled at 111:65.
Travis Peterson and Aleksandar Gruev had an impressive game for Rilski Sportist. The team captain Gruev finished with 14 points and 20 assists in just 30 minutes of play. Last season`s MVP Peterson scored 36 and added 20 rebounds, for a total efficiency of 44. Simeon Naydenov and Lubomir Kirov were the other players from the starting five to score in double digits as they had 15 and 14. Jane Petrovski played good as the sixth man today, finishing with 18 points, 8 assists and 5 rebounds. Rob Preston, David Burgess and Bogdan Boev didn`t participate today.
Marko Simonovski had 33 points for Rabotnicki, as he was the only player from the visiting team to score in double digits. Bojan Taleski had 8, while Nenad Dilberovski added 7. Marjan Todorov and Marko Dokuzovski had 6 each.
That was Rabotnicki`s sixth loss, as they are now 1-6. Their only win was in the first round exactly against Rilski Sportist in Skopje.
On the other side, Rileco are now second, with a 50% record - 4-4, but they have a game more than KK Metalac and Euroins Cherno More.
