Asen Hristov met with the Israeli president

Asen Hristov, the President of the EUROHOLD Balkan League, was on a visit in Israel along with Shay Shtriks - the Sports Director of the BIBL last week. They watched the final of the Israeli Cup, where Maccabi Tel Aviv, led by Pini Gershon defeated Bney Hasharon 77:70 at home in Nokia Arena.
 
Asen Hristov met with the president of Israel - Shimon Peres, as he declared that he is happy with the interest of the EUROHOLD Balkan League bringing in a team from Israel next year. The president of FIBA Europe George Vassilakopoulos also liked the idea, when he was present on the second Board Meeting of the BIBL in Radisson Blu Hotel in Sofia in January.
 
The Sports Director of the BIBL - Shay Shtriks revealed that there were talks with Hapoel Holon about their possible participation in the next edition of the League.
 
"They have an excellent organization, and are similar to most of the teams on the Balkans, but of course first this idea has to be approved by the Board of the BIBL." said Shtriks.
 
He also commented that the game Euroins Cherno More against Lovcen was at a high level, as usual, and neither team could be unhappy about anything, especially the referees, who officiated good. "Everything in the EUROHOLD Balkan League is very clear, and there isn`t any team that is getting any support from the officials." added Shtriks.
