Just one week from now - on the 18th of March are going to be played the first legs of the quarterfinals of the EUROHOLD Balkan League. Here are some facts you might find interesting.  
  • 4 of the participants in the quarterfinals are in their first year in the BIBL - Lovcen, Mornar, OKK Beograd and KK Metalac Valjevo.
  • The other 4 teams - Feni Industries, Euroins Cherno More, Rilski Sportist and Levski participated in the quarterfinals of the EUROHOLD Balkan League last year.
  • Last year`s MVP - Travis Peterson from Rilski Sportist once again is leader in the MVP standings with 23.2 efficiency per game. Last season he maintained 27.2
  • Levski`s Donald Cole is currently the best scorer in the two season history of the EUROHOLD Balkan League - the Texas-born player has scored 449 points in 22 games - 20.4 per game.
  • Mornar Bar are the youngest team in the quarterfinals with an average age of 21 years and 4 months. The other Montenegrin team Lovcen is right behind - 22 years and 4 months, while Euroins Cherno More`s average age is 23 years and 2 months. Levski are the "oldest" team in the quarterfinals - 25 years and 5 months.
  • Milos Lopicic of Lovcen and Soumaila Samake of Mornar are the tallest - 216 cm and 215 cm.
