Nikola Ivanovic should lead Lovcen
17-03-2010 | 11:56
Tomorrow in Bar, Montenegro there will be a very interesting quarterfinal in the EUROHOLD Balkan League. The two Montenegrin teams that made their debute in the BIBL this year are going to face each other in the elimination phase of the league.
Both teams rely on young and talented players, as this is not a surprise, considering the fact that they hold the tradition of fprmer Yugoslavia.
Lovcen made a a pretty good impression during the regular season in Group A of the EUROHOLD Balkan League, as they finished third with a balance of 5-3. The team, whose average age is a bit more than 22 years is led by Nikola Ivanovic. The 20-year old forward finds himself between the top scorers in the BIBL, as he is averaging 17.8 points per game.
Their opponent, Mornar looks like finally found the foreigner they`ve been missing. Soumaila Samake is the fourth player from abroad they signed this season, after switching three Americans, but in his debut game he was quite impressive. Also the other local players are young, so we are up for an interesting match-up tomorrow in Bar and next week in Cetinje.
The game tomorrow starts at 18.00 in Topolica Hall in Bar.News
