The home side got off to a dreamed start, and after two three-pointers (by Trtic and Bircevic) and a basket by Dragomir Marojevic, they were up 8:0. Feni responded quickly with an 13:3 run, and found themselves leading 11:13 with less than 5 minutes left in the first. The two teams continued to change the leader, but finally Feni were up 20:21 after the first period of play.

 

In the second period, things turned all the way around, as KK Metalac supported by their fans started playing better than in the first quarter, and after 20 minutes of play, they were up 42:35.

 

In the third period, things on the court in Valjevo didn`t change much, as KK Metalac continued their good play from the first half, and didn`t lose the lead. After 30 minutes, they were still up, this time by just 4 points - 62:58.

 

The fourth and decisive quarter, was really attractive and interesting. With 2.46 to go until the end, Metalac were up 80:79. From then until the end, Feni managed to do a complete turn around of the game. Dusan Knezevic made it 80:81, and Darko Sokolov scored for 80:83. Sokolov scored two free-throws to make Feni`s lead 80:85. Vladimir Panic answered with a 3-pointer, for 83:85 with 27 seconds to go. Goran Samardziev gave Feni a 83:86 lead, but right after that Panic scored two times from the charity stripe to decrease Metalac`s losing to just 1 point - 85:86. Bojan Trajkovski gave Feni a 85:88 lead with  16 seconds to go, but Milan Trtic got an offensive rebound in the next attack, and scored a three to tie the game at 88. Vladimir Popovic was called for travelling in the last possesion, so the final score was 88:88.

 

Aleksandar Tanaskovic and Vladimir Panic were Metalac`s top scorers with 17 points each. Marko Ljubojevic and Milan Trtic added 14 each, while  Nenad Kasabasic added 12.

 

Vlado Popovic led the way for Feni with 18 points, and Darko Sokolov added 15. Bojan Trajkovski and Dusan Knezevic scored 13 a piece, while Goran Samardziev and Bosko Jovovic added 10 points each.

 

The second game is next week in Macedonia.
