24-03-2010 | 13:00 | Alexander Sotirov
Today in the Culture and Sports Palace in Varna, the young teams of Euroins Cherno More and OKK Beograd are going to play the second game of their quarterfinal series from the EUROHOLD Balkan League. In the first game a week ago in Pionir in Belgrade, Cherno More won by 87:92, but Daniel Dimitrov can only be sorry that his team let the difference drop in the final minutes, as they were leading by double digits almost all game long. OKK Beograd had a tough encounter with the other Serbian team in the quarterfinals - KK Metalac in the local championship, and after losing 66:80, they lost their chance of going to the next phase in their league at home. This means, that tonight`s game is maybe OKK`s chance to salvage something out and save their season. Daniel Dimitrov should be looking out for Dragan Kruscic, who scored 19 in the first game, and is averaging a bit more than 16 points per game. Also other potential threats are guard Dragan Mitrovic and center Milos Suzic.
Euroins Cherno More is a really similar club to OKK, as they also realy on young and talented players. Tihomir Zhelev and Aleksandar Yanev showed in the first game why Cherno More are considered the best basketball academy in Bulgaria. Zhelev scored 19 points and added 7 assists, while Yanev finished with 14 points. Also, Hrisi Dimitrov and Simeon Tsenov shouldn`t be underestimated, along with the foreigners on the team.
The game tips off at 17.30 and is going to be broadcasted live on BNT SAT.
