Two of the legendary basketball players of our time from the Balkans are going to be awarded for their great contribution and their help about the development and popularization Balkan basketball all around Europe and the World. Their names are Georgi Mladenov and Vrbica Stefanov.
 
Georgi Mladenov is considered by many as the best Bulgarian guard of all-time. He was born on 11.05.1962 in Sofia. In Bulgaria he has played for Levski Sofia, Plama Pleven, Slavia and Spartak Euroins MVR, where he was playing and coaching at the same time. He has been a national champion 11 times - 8 times with Levski, 2 times with Plama and 1 time with Slavia. Mladenov has won 7 National cups - 5 with Levski and 1 with Plama and Slavia. With the Bulgarian national team he participated 4 times in European Championships. 
 
As a coach he has been with Spartak MVR, Balkan (Champion of A Group) and Lukoil Academic (Bulgarian NBL National Champion).
 
Vrbica Stefanov is one of the best Macedonian players of all time. Born in Kavadarci on  19.12.1973, he starts playing for the local club, he spends six years (1992-1998) with MZT Skopje, before joining Rabotnicki for one season. His international adventures start in 2000 when he signs with Pinar Karsyiaka from Izmir in Turkey, the next season he plays for AEK in Greece, and after that spends 4 years in Montepaschi. He has also played for Ulker Istanbul, Crvena Zvezda, Olympiakos, Mersin and ViveMenorca. He has won the Macedonian, Italian and Turkish Leagues, along with a Cup win in Greece. He has a first place in Saporta Cup with Siena and has been chosen 5 times for Sports personality of the year in Macedonia. 
 
With the Macedonian NT he played at EuroBasket 2009 in Poland.
