The biggest basketball camp in the Balkans was held in Samokov

The 2010 edition of Can Do basketball referees camp was held last week in Arena Samokov in Samokov (15-20.06), becoming the biggest referee event in the Balkans. 54 referees participated in the event, as 24 of them were from Balkan countries. Almost all of them will have a chance to officiate games in the EUROHOLD Balkan League for the upcoming 2010/2011 season.
 
5 referees from Bulgaria participated in the camp, showing a very professional attitude. All of the instructors, including Alan Richardson, William Jones, Gjorgi Piperkov, Shay Shtriks, Stefko Stanev and Kamen Toshev were very happy with the performance of the participants in the camp. Also, Valentin Lazarov, one of the best Bulgarian referees was honorary guest of the camp and received a diploma.
 
In the last evening of the camp, at the closing ceremony of the event, there were awards given.
 
Jelena Panic of Serbia and Milos Koljensic from Montenegro received the awards for "The Best Referee of the Camp", while Nadine Dudley from England and Pantelis Koimtzoglu were named "Most Improved Referee".
