Mornar Bar - an impressive young team

Mornar Bar, one of the two Montenegrin teams in the EUROHOLD Balkan League made good impressions in their first participation in the BIBL. Djordje Pavicevics team finished fourth in Group B with a balance of 4-6, and made it to the quarterfinals, where they lost to the other Montenegrin side - Lovcen Cetinje.
 
The team definitely showed a lot of talent and potential, and it wasnt a surprise that Mornars Vladimir Mihailovic was one of Montenegro U20s leaders in the European Championship this summer.
 
Last season, the teams biggest issue was finding a good big man, after they started the season with American Anthony Brown, but finished it with two Senegalese players. The team also made some other changes during the season, so maybe this year, they will have to look for more discipline and constancy, so they could achieve even more in the upcoming campaign.
 
Mornar definitely left a great impression of Montenegrin basketball and its growth in the EUROHOLD Balkan League, and we are sure that there is plenty more to come during the new season.
Also, Mornar will host the opening game of the BIBL on 02.10.2010 in Bar.
