OKK Beograd - a background

OKK Beograd is going to play in the EUROHOLD Balkan League for the second consecutive year. Last season, Marko Icelics squad left good impressions among the Balkan basketball fans, as OKK finished third in Group B with a 6-4 balance.   They showed that playing at home is definitely their strong side, as in HAla Pionir the young team achieved wins over Feni Industries and Levski, teams who played at the Final 4. Also, in the quarterfinals OKK was close to upsetting Euroins Cherno More, as after losing the first game at home 87:92, they won in Varna 81:84.   OKK Beograd had in its roster the legendary Serbian player Radivoj Korac during the last century, as also the team was the first finalist for the Korac Cup. During last season there was a player with the same name - Nikola Korac.   OKK Beograd will be the only Serbian team in the EUROHOLD Balkan League during the 2010/2011 season, as there is no doubt that they will demonstrate the quality and talent of the Serbian basketball tradition.
