Balkan continues to be the most active EUROHOLD Balkan League team on the transfer market. After acquiring Bulgaria NT player Krum Doychinov from Euroins Cherno More, Petar Klechkov added another well-known name in Bulgaria to the team roster.
Dwayne Morton is returning to Balkan after he spent the last season in Chernomorets Burgas. Morton is a fan favourite in Botevgrad, as he already spent two years in Balkan - the last one was 2006/2007.
Dwayne Lamont Morton, a 200-cm tall forward was born on the 8th of August 1971 in Louisville, Kentucky. He played college basketball at the University of Louisville, before being drafted with the 45th overall pick in the 1994 NBA Draft by the Golden State Warriors. He appeared in 41 NBA games, averaging 4.1 points and 1.4 rebounds.
Before coming to Bulgaria he played in Israel, England and the Dominican Republic. In Bulgaria he played also for rivals CSKA and Levski.
Last season he averaged 11.9 points, 6.5 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 1.1 steals in 38 games.News
