Good performance in the EuroBasket qualifiers for BIBL participants

The national teams of the countries participating in the EUROHOLD Balkan League, are performing quite good in the qualifiers for FIBA EuroBasket 2011.
In the Division A qualifiers, the strongest performer so far is the young team of Montenegro. The team led by head-coach Dusko Vujosevic is on top of Group A with a 3-0 balance so far after wins against Latvia, Finland and Italy. Nikola Pekovic is leading the way with 21.0 points and 4.3 rebounds per game.
Macedonia are second in Group B with a balance of 2-1, after two wins against Ukraine and Hungary, and an overtime loss against Great Britain. Pero Antic is the star of Marin Dokuzovskis team, averaging 18.7 points and 5.0 rebounds per game.
In the same group, Bosnia and Herzegovina are fourth with a balance of 1-2. They won at home against Ukraine, but lost the away games against Hungary and Great Britain.
Ratko Varda is the top scorer with 14.3 points and Edin Bavcic has 7.3 rebounds.
Bulgaria enjoyed a good start in Group C, with two wins in a row - away versus Portugal and at home against Poland, but lost to Belgium last night and is now third with a 2-1 balance. Filip Videnov is scoring 20.3 points per game, while Kaloyan Ivanov is the top rebounder with 6.0 rebounds per game.
In Division B, Romania has a 1-0 balance and is third in Group B.
