Josh Gonner arrived in Botevgrad

American basketball player Josh Gonner arrived in Botevgrad. According to the preliminary agreement with the agency wich representing him, he will stay for a trial period in Balkan. Gonner left very good impressions in his first practice, although it seemed pretty tired after the long travel to Bulgaria. He was presented to the coaching staff and players on the team, and was welcomed by his compatriot Dwayne Morton.
Last season Josh Gonner played in Finland - and after the regular season, finished sixth in the premier Korisliga of the Scandinavian country. 188 cm tall Gonner became top scorer of the Finnish team with 18.2 points per game, with a very good shooting percentage - 54% for 2 points and 37% behind the line.
In the NCAA he played for South Carolina during the period 2003-2005 year. His European career began in the Finnish Korihayt, where he played during the 2007/2008 season. Then go to Topol Helsinki, and returned to Korihayt.
Josh Gonner will go for a two-day Balkan tour in Serbia. First game is tonight against KK Nis. The second meeting is on Wednesday against Pirot.
