Rilski Sportist set for visit in the Mures "jungle"

BC Rilski Sportist are set for maybe their toughest away game this year. In their first match in the EUROHOLD Balkan League for 2010/2011, they will have to face the new addition in the league - BC Mures in front of their home crowd in Targu Mures.
 
The home games of the Romanian side are known as visits to "the jungle", due to the amazing support of the dedicated and maybe even wild fans of BC Mures. Even the head coach of Rilski Sportist and 2009 BIBL champion Aleksandar Todorov said that the home fans will be a big factor. "I have to admit that we are not the favorites for this one, its the other way around,." the Macedonian specialist said.
 
BC Mures is the only Romanian team in the EUROHOLD Balkan League this year and everybody from the club and the city of Targu Mures are looking forward to their first ever BIBL game. The team head coach Csaba Deri said that they are fans are a big part of their success at home. "We want to get the win and make our supporters happy." is exactly what the coach said.
 
The most notable names in the roster of BC Mures are the ones of the foreigners in the team. The squad has three Americans, a Serbian and a Lithuanian player. The last two - Aleksandar Mladenovic and Gytas Sirutavicius already impressed in the first games of the club. All of the Americans have impressive CVs. Jason Forte is a combo guard with an impressive package of size and skills. JuJuan Cooley is already well known in Romania, as he first came to the country in 2006, while Eddy Barlow Mayfield has played in a similar atmosphere, spending the last season in Hungary.
 
On the other side we have BC Rilski Sportist. The champions from the first edition of the EUROHOLD Balkan League have a completely different look now, compared to the last two seasons. This year the only American on the team is big man Justin Neuhaus who is coming straight out of college. Dragomir Marojevic made a name for himself in the BIBL last year with KK Metalac, while Ivan Lilov, Martin Marinov and Simeon Tsenov are already experienced in the Ballkan League. Atanas Radev will be a key figure for Aleksandar Todorov, along with Bogdan Boev who was among the teams leaders in the previous seasons. Rilecos captain Aleksandar Gruev is sidelined due to an injury, which means that the new point guard of the team Dimitar Karadjovski will have to step up.
 
Rilski Sportist have a positive balance of 15-7 in the previous two years in the BIBL, while BC Mures will be looking to get their first ever win in the competition.
 
The game starts at 19.00 Romanian time tomorrow and will be broadcasted live on http://sportmedia.tv. This is one of the two games from Group B being played tomorrow.
