Domestic leagues: Loss for Balkan at the start in Bulgaria

BC Balkan, one of the new additions to the EUROHOLD Balkan League for the 2010/2011 season suffered a loss in their first game in the Bulgarian League. Petar Klechkov′s squad fell short away from aganst Yambol, losign 87:84.   The 1700 spectators in Diana Hall in Yambol enjoyed a really interesting contest, with a lot of changes in the score, which was interesting until the end. BC Balkan were even ahead before the decisive fourth quarter, but finally ended up losing it by 3.   Yordan Bozov scored 27 points for Balkan, while Josh Gonner added 20. Georgi Davidov came up big off the bench, falling a rebound short of a double-double - 14 points and 9 rebounds.   For Yambol Stanislav Govedarov and Martin Durchev led the way with 27 and 26 points, while Nikolay Varbanov added 17.
