Balkan overplayed Rilski Sportist at home in Botevgrad, and deservedly won the game between the two Balkan League participants from the third round of the Bulgarian League. The final score after 40 minutes was 73:61 for Balkana.
Petar Klechkov′s team lost only the last quarter of the game, but that wasn′t enough for Rileco take something away from Botevgrad.
Balkan could rely on Yordan Bozov, who wasn′t able to play in the team′s BIBL loss against Mornar Bar last week. He scored 16 points, while Dwayne Morton added 11 and 14 rebounds. Kiril Raykov came up good off the bench scoring 15, and Joshua Gonner added 10.
For Rileco Ivan Lilov was the only player, who finished in double digits in scoring, as he scored 26 against his former team.
Those two teams will meet again very soon, as they are playing again in the third round of the EUROHOLD Balkan League, when Balkan is hosting Rilski once again.
The game will be on the 10th of November.
