Balkan′s Emil Binev sidelined for at least 3 months

Balkan′s young forward Emil Binev will be sidelined for the next three months, according to multiple sources. The 19-year old has suffered a torn meniscus and will have to undergo surgery. This will put him on the sideline for 3 months, after which he will have to go through physiotherapy before he starts getting back to basketball.   Youngster Binev joined Balkan from his hometown Chernomoretz this season, and was supposed to be a big part of Petar Klechkov′s rotation, but unfortunately that will have to wait. Emil Binev has been part of all junior national teams of Bulgaria, and has even participated in multiple programs such as Basketball Without Borders.   Binev will have to wait for his BIBL debut, but in two games in Bulgaria he averaged 7.0 points and 2.7 assists.
