Balkan penalised with 1000 EUR because of their fans

BC Balkan Botevgrad have been penalised with 1000 EUR, because of the behaviour of their fans in the game from the 3rd Round of the EUROHOLD Balkan League against BC Rilski Sportist on the 11th of November (71:65).   The Sports Director of the BIBL - Mr. Shay Shtriks explained that the team has been penalised according to the League regulations - Art 10.2. "Acts harming the image of the BIBL."   This article containst a points 10.2.5 which says "For unsportsmanlike behaviour on the part of the public towards  opponents, commissioner, referees or table officials (menacing, intimidateing, serious misbehaviour, agression on and off the playing court, acts of violence, throwing of objects) a fine up to EUR 5 000 will be imposed.”   "I took the decision of penalising BC Balkan after I was present at the game, and after commisioner Angel Ivanov had described what happened in his report, and after a consulting with the BIBL Competition Commission. The spectators of BC Balkan started shouting in the 31st minute of the game, after a correct call from the officials - "Mafia" and some other disgraceful and ugly words, offending the referees." Shay Shtriks said.
