KK Ulcinj needed overtime for their first win

KK Ulcinj needed overtime to get their first ever win in the EUROHOLD Balkan League. The Montenegrin side defeated KK Brod-Svjetlost at home 95:88, and now they are 1-2 in Group A of the BIBL. On the other side, Brod are 0-4, and still don′t know how winning tastes.
 
KK Ulcinj opened up the score, as Danilo Sibalic scored the first basket of the night to give his team a 3:0 lead. KK Brod-Svjetlost showed that they weren′t here to lose this game and didn′t let the home team get a bigger lead. The difference was varying between 2-3 points for each team, as there were a couple of ties in the first period, before things were settled at 28:23 for Ulcinj after 10 minutes of play.
 
Ulcinj managed to break ahead by 7 points - 30:23 early in the second quarter, as the difference continued to grow in favor of the home team. 2.59 before halftime, Ulcinj had the biggest lead of the game so far - 15 points (42:27). Brod responded with an 8-0 run, which decreased their losing down to 7 points. However, the home side managet to maintain ahead of their opposition, and were up 47:39 halfway through the game.
 
Nobody expected a turnaround in the score, looking at how the way things were going. Ulcinj maintaned their lead, as they were up by 10 (56:46) after a three-pointer by Aleksandar Radulovic with 7.08 to go in the third. Luka Panduric completed a three-point play to cut his team′s deficit down to 6 points (56:50) with 6.04 on the clock. Radoje Djurkovic scored a basket to give Ulcinj an 11-point advantage with 3.16 remaining (63:52). At this point, Brod-Svjetlost got back in the game with a 12-0 run, including 5 points by Matej  Karlovic and a buzzer-beating three-pointer by Domagoj Norac, to give the team a 63:64 lead after 30 minutes of play.
 
Brod-Svjetlost remained in front in the opening minutes of the last period. Matej Karlovic gave his team a 6-point lead, scoring a three-pointer with 8.49 to go (63:69). KK Ulcinj weren′t able to tie the game or take the lead until Aleksandar Radulovic made two free-throws to tie the game at 71:71. From this point, Ulcinj made ad 8-0 scoring run, as Sinisa Tepavcevic and Aleksandar Radulovic scored 4 points each, so their team was up 79:71 with 1.40 to go. Domagoj Norac and Matej Kljaic scored, to put Brod back in the game (79:75) with 1.06 remaining. After a home time-put, Matej Karlovic kept hope alive for his team, scoring a three-pointer for 79:78 with 44 seconds to go.
 
Milos Djurisic scored one of two free-throws and gave his team a 2-point lead with 10 seconds to go. Domagoj Norac made the score 80:80, after making two shots from the line, as there were 9 seconds left. Danilo Sibalic scored 2/2 from the line, giving Ulcinj a 2-point lead, before Matej Karlovic was fouled and tied things up at 82:82, so the game went into overtime.
 
With the start of the extra period, KK Brod-Svjetlsot managed to break ahead of their opposition - 84:86. However things quickly turned around, and Ulcinj players completed two succesful and one plays - being fouled, and making the basket and the free-throw. Milan Latkovic gave Ulcinj a 93:88 lead with 36 seconds to go, and Radoje Djurkovic seald Ulcinj′s first BIBL win by dunking the ball for the final score of 95:88.
 
Big man Aleksandar Radulovic scored 19 points for Ulcinj, and added 10 rebounds for his double-double. Radoje Djurkovic added 16 points, while Sinisa Tepavcevic had 13 plus 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Danilo Sibalic finished with 12 and Nikola Jeftic had 10 in the winnin effort.
 
Domagoj Norac led KK Brod-Svjetlsot with 28 points, while youngster Matej Karlovic adde 26, but he didn′t have a good day shooting the ball. Srdan Helbich had a double-double with 17 points and 10 boards, and Luka Panduric was the last player to finish in double digits, adding 11 points.
