KK Mornar Bar defeated BC Mures 87:73 at home in Topolica Hall, as that was third win for the Montenegrin team in the EUROHOLD Balkan League this season. On the other side the Romanian representative  suffered third loss and decrease the chance to meet the expectation to reach the Final Four.

 

The game started better for the host from Montenegro, as Mornar quickly built a 5:0 lead, but after successful offensive plays by Lapuste and Mladenovic, BC Mures managed to took the lead – 10:12 after 5 minutes of play. Mures maintained their lead, as they were up by 1 point and the end of the first period.

 

In the second period, Djordje Pavicevic`s side took the game in their hands and after a very solid performance by their leader Ivan Jelenic, who scored 16 points in the first half, Mornar succeded to get up by 1 point at halftime – 40:39. For BC Mures, Aleksandar Mladenovic impressed with his 8 points and 7 rebounds.

 
The host started the second half confident,  increasing their lead to 51:43, after 2 three-pointers by Nikola Ljulic . Flavius Lapuste with a three-pointer and Dimitru with a lay-up quickly erased the trail to 3 points – 51:48. Another three by Pora, 2.55 minutes before the end tied the score.  After 30 minutes of play the score was 58:57, as the host from Bar got a little advantage,  so it was all going to be
decided in the fourth quarter.
 
 The last period turned out to be really interesting, but finally the Montenegrin team succed to made a good run in the last five minutes and with a great defensive play managed to take their third victory this season. The final score was set to 87:73. On the other side BC Mures once again lost the control of the game in the last quarter and desevedely suffered third loss in the Balkan League. 

 Ivan Jelenic was the most efficient for Mornar′s win, as he scored 28 points. Nemanja Radovic added 17 points and 6 rebounds, while Nikola Ljujic nailed 15 points and 6 boards for the success.

 

Flavius Lapuste made an excellent performance as a sixth man, recording 20 points and 7 rebounds for 25 minutes on the court. Aleksandar Mladenovic finished with 12 points and 8 rebounds in the losing effort.
