Domestic leagues: Balkan lost to the champions

BC Balkan started 2011 with a loss, failing to win at home against the reigning champion Lukoil Academic. Petar Klechkov′s team managed to hold the difference to just 3 points until halftime (37:40), but in the second half Lukoil deserved their 62:80 win.   Yordan Bozov was the top performer for Balkan with 21 points, while the other "usual suspect" Georgi Davidov had 10 points and 8 rebounds. Dwayne Morton came off the bench scoring 8 points.   Dominic James gave a solid performance for Lukoil, scoring 18 points. Bozhidar Avramov added 16, while captain Todor Stoykov had 11. Bruno Sundov scored 9 in his debut.   Balkan are third in the table with a 7-6 balance after tonight′s Round 13, while Lukoil remained unbeaten and on top - 13-0.
