Domestic leagues: Tough defeat for KK Brod-Svjetlost

KK Brod-Svjetlost started 2011 with a defeat in their first official game for the new year. Zoran Kalpic′s team played against Alkar Sinj in the Croatian League away from home and lost by 17 points of difference - 73:56.   Four of Brod-Svjetlost′s starters finished in double digits in scoring but that wasn′t even close to getting their team the win. Matej Karlovic was the top scorer for Brod notching in 15 points, while newly added point guard Luka Petkovic had 13. Aljosa Sarac added 11, while Filip Vukicevic had 10 plus 7 rebounds.   Ivica Radic impressed for Alkar Sinj with 17 points and 20 rebounds.   Alkar Sinj progressed up to the second spot with this win and are 7-3 now, while KK Brod-Svjetlost are fourth with a 50% balance - 5 wins and 5 losses.
