Situation in Group B after round 7

We are just finished round 7 of regular season in the group phase of the EUROHOLD Balkan League 2010/2011. There are 3 round left and the game between Rilski Sportist and Mures from Group B from the previous round, which is scheduled for 8th of February. In Group B, there is a fight for the spots which give opportunity to play in the quarterfinals between four teams - Mornar Bar, Rilski Sportist, Balkan Botevgrad and Mures Tirgu-Mures. KK Feni Industries is at 90% winner of the group, as the only chance to be overtake by KK Mornar is to lose all their games until the end, and Mornar to win 2 times in a row. With tonights victory, the Montenegrin representative almost secured there spot in the next phase. Balkan has least chances to continue to the quarter-finals, as they have only one win in there asset. BC Mures is the hide favourite for the quarter-finals, as the Romanian has 4 games to the end of the season. BC Rilski Sportist stayed on the third place almost the hole season, but they have ambitions to be 2nd. Feni Industries is almost winner of Group B. The team is at least second and could be overcome only by KK Mornar, if the Montenegrin with their games against Rilski Sportist (H) and BC Mures (A) and Feni lose to Balkan and Mures (A). Mornar Bar is the main favourite for the second place. With one more victory, the young squad of Djordje Pavicevic will be sure for the next stage. Has two important games - against Rilski Sportist (H) and versus Mures (A) in the last round. Could be overtake by Rilski Sportist and BC Mures. Rilski Sportist has no chances for the first place, as the team from Samokov lost two times by Feni Industries. Has three more games from the regular season - two at home - against Balkan and BC Mures, and one on road against Mornar Bar. The game in Montenegro could be the direct clash for the second place, as Aco Todorov side won the first game between the two squads. Could be overcome by BC Mures and BC Balkan Botevgrad.
For BC Mures everything is going to be decided as the team has less games played than the others - only 4. In 3 days in february, the Romanians needs to travel to Bulgaria and to face the two Bulgarian representatives in the group - Rilski Sportist and Balkan. Mures also is hosting the two leaders Feni Industries and KK Mornar. If the manage to win all their games until the end of the regular season the team has a real chance for the second place. Balkan Botevgrad are in the most difficult position, as the brave team of Petar Klechkov has only one win from 5 games. The team could qualify for the quarter-finals only as a third in the group, and only if they win their rest three games. Balkan couldn′t reach Feni Industries and overcome Mornar Bar, as they lost two times from the Montenegrins.

The quarter-finals will be series best of three, with home advantage for the teams, which is going to finish second in their groups.
