Rilski smashed Balkan, the guest with no chance for the 1/4 finals

        The champions from the first edition of EUROHOLD Balkan League - BC Rilski Sportist Samokov didn′t have any trouble in their home game in Arena Samokov against their rivals BC Balkan Botevgrad. In front of 1200 spectators, Rileco beat the guest by 21 points - 91:70. For Balkan didn′t play some of their key players - Yordan Bozov, Dwayne Morton and the young prospect Stanimir Marinov. Both of them are out with injuries and couldn′t help their team in the tonight′s game. After this loss, Petar Klechkov′s squad has no more chances to continue in the next stage of the competition.
 

Rilski, whose head coach Aleksandar Todorov gave a playing time to all his players, didn′t have any trouble at all, and dominated the game from the start. After the first quarter the host was ahead by 3 - 20:17. Halfway through the game, Rilski Sportist held a comfortable 19-point lead - 53:34.
 
After halftime Rileco managed to increase their lead, as they took the third period 21:12 and were up by almost 30 points before the closing period of the game. However in the fourth quarter Balkan succeded to decrease their trail and after 17:24  the final score was set at 91:70.
 
Rilski remained third with a 3-3 balance, while on the other side Balkan stayed fourth on 1-5, but the team from Botevgrad has 2 games more than BC Mures, which are on the last place.
  Ivan Lilov continued with his great performance this season. The young forward nailed 23 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for an index of 27. Martin Marinov showed a great shooting ability, as he managed to score 6 three-pointers from 7 attempts. Vladimir Mijovic added 15 points and 8 rebounds for Rilski Sportist.   For Balkan, Georgi Davidov and the newcomer Kristiyan Borisov impressed from the bench. The veteran Davidov was the team′s best scorer with 20 points, while Borisov ended with 12. Lyubomir Lilov added 14 points and 7 rebounds in the losing case.
