After all the games from Round 8 of the 2010/2011 EUROHOLD Balkan League have been played a brief look at the individual performances this round tells us that Zeljko Sakic of HKK Zrinjski Mostar is the MVP of Round 8.
The 203-cm tall forward had an efficiency rating of 31 in his team′s win over KK Brod-Svjetlost (79:65). In 35 minutes Sakic scored 13 points (3/5 for 2, 1/4 for 3 and 4/4 for 1) along with 19 rebounds (2 offensive/17 defensive), 6 assists, 2 steals and 4 turnovers. Priest Lauderdale(22 points on 11/13 shooting) and Ivan Lilov (23 pts, 7 rebs and 4 ass) share the second place with efficiency rating of 27 each. Lazar Simonovic of HKK Zrinjski comes third - 25 rating (19 pts in 29 min) and Vladimir Mijovic and JuJuan Cooley share the fifth place with a rating of 23 each.
Jason Forte of BC Mures scored the most points - 24 in his team′s win over KK Feni Industries. Ivan Lilov scored 23 for Rilski in the win over Balkan, while Priest Lauderdale had 22 against OKK. Martin Marinov (Rilski), Georgi Davidov (Balkan) and Slobodan Dundjerski (OKK) had 20 points each.
Martin Marinov from Rilski Sportist was the best sixth man. In 25 minutes off the bech he scored 20 points (6/7 for 3 points) along with 5 rebounds and 2 steals for efficiency rating of 21. He is followed by Nicholas Covington of Mures (19), OKK′s Aleksandar Tanaskovic (18) and Donald Cole of Levski and Filip Vukicevic from Brod-Svjetlost (17 each).
Zeljko Sakic was the top rebounder with 19 boards. Jarrid Frye (Feni) and Igor Maric(Brod-Svjetlost) had 11 each, while Aleksandar Mladenovic (Mures) had 9. Vladimir Mijovic and Aaron Harper had 8 rebounds each.
BC Mures′ JuJuan Cooley made the most assists - 10. Aleksandar Gruev (Rilski) had 8, Goran Samardziev (Feni) and Nicholas Covington had 7 each, Jason Crowe (Levski), Slobodan Dundjerski and Zeljko Sakic had 6 each.
Filip Vukicevic from Brod-Svjetlost made 5 steals. JuJuan Cooley and Vladimir Mijovic made 3 each, while 15 other players had 2 steals per person.
Aleksandar Mladenovic of Mures was the best shot blocker - 4 blocks in the win against Feni. Priest Lauderdale blocked 3 shots, while Jarrid Frye, Vladimir Mijovic and Filip Vukicevic had 2 blocks each.News
