Today in Vilnius, Lithuania was made the draw for the Eurobasket 2011. In the upcoming championship, EUROHOLD Balkan League is going to be represented by six countries - Bosnia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia. Only Romania didn′t manage to qualify for the final tournament, as the team was still in Division B. The draw was really interesting as in Group C were picked up Bosnia, Croatia, Montenegro, Macedonia and another one country from the Balkans, but not yet BIBL representative - Greece. The last team will be one of the qualifiers. Serbia was seeded first in the draw and is going to face France, Germany, Israel, Latvia and Italy. Bulgaria probably is the happiest Balkan country after the draw, as is Group D are Slovenia, Russia, Ukraine, and also Belgium and Georgia - two of the teams that Bulgaria already faced in the Qualifying round.

Here is the full draw :

Group A : Spain, Turkey, Lithuania, Poland, Great Britain, Qualifier 2

Group B : Serbia, France, Germany, Israel, Latvia, Italy

Group C : Greece, Croatia, Montenegro, Macedonia, Bosnia, Qualifier 1

Group D : Slovenia, Russia, Belgium, Bulgaria, Georgia, Ukraine

The last two spots in the seed are reserved for the two countries (from Finland, Hungary, Portugal) that will qualify for EuroBasket 2011 through the Additional Qualifying Round, which will be concluded on 24th August.
