KK Ulcinj didn′t let KK Brod-Svjetlost get their first win

Montenegrin side KK Ulcinj didn′t allow KK Brod-Svjetlost to get their first win in the BIBL, after they defeated the Croatian team 64:67 in their own hall in Slavonski Brod.
 
KK Brod-Svjetlost opened up the score in this game, after a dunk by Filip Vukicevic for 2:0. However in the opening minutes neither team could break ahead of the other on the scoreboard, as both teams exchanged a couple of 1-point leads and a couple of ties. After the first quarter was already over the visitors from Ulcinj were one point ahead - 14:15.
 
The home side started the second quarter with a 6:0 run which gave them a 20:15 advantage with 8.22 to go. They didn′t let their lead slip away, and were ahead 29:23 halfway through the second period. At halftime the score was tied - 33:33.
 
After halftime Drazen Stojs′ team managed to get into an 8:2 run which gave them a 41:35 lead. However Ulcinj responded with a 9:4 run, decreasing the home side′s advantage to just a single point - 45:44 with 3.45 remaining. Srdan Helbich scored with the buzzer of the third period to give Brod-Svjetlost a 54:50 lead after 30 minutes of play.
 
Ulcinj didn′t give up and scored the first seven points in the fourth quarter, so they could have a 54:57 lead. Brod′s answer were six unanswered points for 60:57, before each team scored one basket for 62:59 with 2.42 to go on the clock. Brod had a slight lead in the following seconds, before Ulcinj tied the game at 64:64. In their last offense of the game they completed an incredible and-one play to find themselves ahead 64:67 with 3.7 seconds to go. In their last try to tie the game, Brod-Svjetlost were unable to score, after Domagoj Norac′s shot was blocked.
 
Veteran center Srdan Helbich had an outstanding game for KK Brod-Svjetlost before fouling out - 21 points and 8 rebounds. Filip Vukicevic was the only other player to score in double digits - 10 points. Domagoj Norac had 5 points, 10 rebounds and 4 steals plus 4 assists.
 
Sinisa Tepavcevic and Aleksandar S. Radulovic scored 14 points each for Ulcinj′s victory. Nikola Jeftic added 11, while Milos Djurisic finished the game with 10 points.
 
 That was KK Ulcinj′s third win in Group A of the 2010/2011 EUROHOLD Balkan League, as they have a 3-4 balance and occupy the fourth spot. On the other side KK Brod-Svjetlost weren′t able to get a win and finish with the worst record in the BIBL - 0-8.
