KK Brod-Svjetlost appointed Drazen Brajkovic as head coach

KK Brod-Svjetlost finally found a new head-coach for the team, less than a week after the club finished it′s participation in the 2010/2011 EUROHOLD Balkan League. The new coach of the team is Drazen Brajkovic, who will replace assistant Drazen Stojs who was occupying the role until a new coach was found.
Drazen Brajkovic is 49 years old and has been head coach of numerous teams in Croatia. His first coaching job in men′s basketball was in 1992 as assistant in Sibenka, where he later became head coach and stayed until 1995. Another interesting stop in his career is BC Dinamo Tbilisi (Georgia), as he won the National Cup back to back in 2003 and 2004, along with the Championship in 2003.
Brajkovic has also been coach in the Croatian national teams - U20 Men (assistant in 2000), Senior NT (assistant 2001-03), U20 Men (head coach in 2002 and 2006) and head coach of th Georgian NT for 2 years (2003-2005).
He is the third coach appointed by KK Brod Svjetlost this season after Igor Kovacevic and Zoran Kalpic who didn′t manage to get a win with the team in the BIBL and Brod finished last in Group A with a 0-8 balance.News
