Zrinjski lost to Levski and gave up the third spot

HKK Zrinjski Mostar lost their home game against BC Levski 76:84 in the last round of Group A of the 2010/11 EUROHOLD BIBL. This was Levski′s seventh win, as they finished first with a 7-1 balance, while Zrinjski′s record is 4-4, and they will have to wait for the final score of the other game in the group - Ulcinj vs OKK so they could now if they qualify for the quarterfinals.
 
Levski scored the first points of the game, as Aaron Harper sinked a three-pointer after an assist from Gjorgji Cekovski. The 2010 BIBL champions held the lead in the opening minutes, as it increased to 6 points (2:8) 6.22 before the end of the first period. Zrinjski weren′t able to get anywhere close to their opponents, and after the first quarter the score was 16:21.
 
Harper and Cole scored as the second period started and Levski′s advantage increased to 16:24. The difference continued to grow, as with 5.43 remaining in the half, Levski had their biggest lead so far - 20:32. In the minutes left before halftime the home team made an impressive 19:5 run which gave them a 39:37 lead halfway through the game.
 
After halftime Levski seemed really motivated and quickly made an 11 to nothing run to open up the second half and to lead the game 39:48 with 5.18 remaining on the clock. Zrinjski couldn′t erase the margin, as they only brought the difference down to 5 points a couple of times in the third quarter. After 30 minutes of play the defending EUROHOLD Balkan League champions Levski had a 51:60 lead.
 
The difference quickly went up to double digits at the start of the fourth period - 51:62. Zrinjski brought it down to 10 (54:64) and after three succesful free-throws by Sindis Demic and a basket by Marin Han decreased it to 5 points - 59:64. Priest Lauderdale and Zlatin Georgiev scored to give Levski a 60:69 lead, but Demic had more strong moments in the fourth period. After another three-pointer and a free-throw made by him Levski′s deficit was down to 5 points again - 65:70. Cole scored for 70:76, before Demic dropped another bomb from long range - 73:76 with 2.33 left. However until the end Zrinjski scored just 3 points against 11 for Levski, which set the final score at 76:84.
 
Gjorgji Cekovski scored 18 points for Levski, while Aaron Harper and Priest Lauderdale added 14 each, as PL also had 10 boards. Donald Cole added 13 in Levski′s win.
 
Zeljko Sakic led HKK Zrinjski with 20 points and 7 boards, and Sindis Demic also added 20 points for the Bosnian team. Lazar Simonovic was the last player to score in double digits, finishing with 10.
