Domestic leagues: Balkan out of the Bulgarian Cup

BC Balkan, who recently finished their first season in the EUROHOLD Balkan League got knocked out from the Cup of Bulgaria, which is being played in Sofia. Petar Klechkov′s team were defeated 69:78 by Yambol in the most interesting games from all the quarterfinals.   Georgi Davidov had a superb game for Balkan, with 34 points and 10 rebounds, but that wasn′t enough for a win. Lyubomir Lilov also had a double-double - 12 points and 11 rebounds, while Dwayne Morton scored 8 points and grabbed 10 boards.   Martin Durchev was Yambol′s top scorer with 24 points, shooting 6/7 for 3 points. Pavel Marinov added 19, while Nikolay Varbanov had 15 and 13 rebounds.   Yambol will play Levski in the semifinal.
