Montenegrin derby in the EUROHOLD Balkan League quarterfinals

The two Montenegrin representatives in EUROHOLD Balka League KK Mornar and KK Ulcinj are facing each other in a direct clash for a place in the Final 4. This playoff is going to be really interesting as in the domestic championship both sides are almost equal, despite that KK Mornar smashed their opponents by 40 points two weeks ago. KK Mornar finished second in the Group B with a 6-2 record, while Ulcinj took the last spot, which giving opportunity to play in the 1/4 finals playoffs, as ended third in Group A, on the same balance with the Bosnian HKK Zrinjski 4-4, but with advantage in the direct games. This playoff will also oppose the tallest squad (KK Mornar) and the shortest one (KK Ulcinj). KK Mornar are also the youngest team in the league.
Both teams strenghtened their rosters before the 1/4 finals. KK Mornar took the 23 years old forward Marko Kuveljic from FMP Belgrade. On the other side KK Ulcinj inked the experienced center Sasa Mijajlovic from Sloga Kraljevo. The EUROHOLD Balkan league is not something new for the two players, as Kuveljic was part of the last-season finalist KK Lovcen, while Mijajlovic played in 6 games for CSU Cuadripol Brasov in the first edition of the league and also record 7 appearences for OKK Beograd in season 2009/2010.
Ivan Jelenic is Mornar′s best scorer with 16.7 points in 7 games this season. Bojan Ljubojevc registered 15 points and 6 rebounds, but he appeared in only two games. The young power forward Nemanja Radovic is the club′s best rebounder with 6.8 boards. He also adds 11.9 points. 16 years old playmaker Nikola Ivanovic is one of the most promising players not only in the EUROHOLD Balkan League but on the Balkans in general. He has a 11.8 points, 3.8 assists and 3.5 rebounds for averaging 25 minutes on the court.
KK Ulcinj′s leader so far this season is Aleksandar S. Radulovic. The 209cm tall center is very strong under the basket, averaging 14.6 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.1 blocks in 8 games. Sinisa Tepavcevic has 11 points and 4.9 rebounds, while Marko Mijovic, who joined the team in the beggining of the year impresses with 9 points, 6.7 assists, 3 rebounds and 2 steals for three games.
