Changes in the General Principle for the Team Registration for the BIBL

The EUROHOLD Balkan League management continues to work and prepare for the next season of the competition. Some changes have been made and added to the Official Regulations of the League for the upcoming season, especially regarding the participation and registration of teams.
 

"Each national federation mentioned in art.1.1.1. is entitled to present a minimum of 1 (one) and maximum of 3 (three) clubs to the BIBL. The clubs presented must be registered and must participate in their domestic championships during season 2010/11. The clubs to participate in BIBL must not play in any other FIBA Europe competition.

 

The federations-founders of BIBL (BUL, MKD, ROU, SRB) will have rights to propose 2 teams for the season 2011/12 and the other federations (MNE, BIH, CRO) – 1 team. If some of the federations-founders propose only 1 team the other federations (in order MNE, BIH, CRO) will have rights to propose 2 teams.

 

2.1.1. The four participants in the Final Four may have the rights to participate the next season. The Champion of BIBL will have automatically rights to play in the next season.

 

2.1.2. The last two placed teams in the group stage may lose the right to participate in the next season.

 

2.1.3.   BIBL together with the Board have the rights to give and approve 2 (two) wild cards for the current season, according to marketing requirements, sponsors’ preferences, etc."
