Domestic leagues: Levski took a 1-0 lead after a tough home win

BC Levski took a 1-0 lead in their quarterfinal series against Spartak Pleven in the Bulgarian NBL. At home in Universiada Hall the 2010 EUROHOLD Balkan League champions had serious trouble with the visitors from Pleven, but won 88:82 after overtime.
Spartak were close to upsetting the home team, as they blew a 7-point lead in the last quarter, before losing the game in overtime.
Aaron Harper scored 20 points and grabbed 9 rebounds in Levski′s win. Stefan Georgiev was a real leader for his team with 22 points and 8 rebounds off the bench. Donald Cole finished with 10 points and 5 boards.
Hrisimir Dimitrov was Spartak′s top performer, finishing with 24 points and 6 rebounds. Iliya Stankov added 17, while Nikola Traykov came off the bench scoring 12 in the losing effort.
The second game is on Thursday in Pleven. The series format is best of three.News
