Former Mornar Bar player is the #16 pick in the 2011 NBA Draft

A former Mornar Bar player became the 16th pick in the 2011 NBA Draft. 20-year old Nikola Vucevic, who played college basketball for the University of South California in the last three seasons was selected by the Philadelphia 76ers.Vucevic, who is a 208-cm tall forward played two seasons with Mornar Bar between 2005 and 2007, before transferring to Stoneridge Prep in Simi Valley, California. In 2008 he declared that he will play college basketball for USC. In his last season with the Trojans (2010/2011) he achieved impressive stats - 17.1 points, 10.4 rebounds and 1.4 blocked shots in 34.1 minutes per game.
The youngster has represented Montenegro internationally in 2009, when he averaged 15.5 points, 10.8 rebounds and 1.9 blocked shots in the U20 Division A European Championship.
Nikola Vucevic will be the second NBA player, whose hometown is Bar, Montenegro, as current Boston Celtics guard Sasha Pavlovic is also coming from there.
