BC Timisoara will play in the EUROHOLD Balkan League in 2011/2012

BC Timisoara will represent Romania in the 2011/2012 EUROHOLD Balkan League.  The team from the city of the same name finished 11th in the Romanian League last season, with a balance of 14 wins and 16 losses.
 
The team plays it′s home games in "Sala Sporturilor Olympia" Hall, which has a capacity of 3.000 spectators. This will be the team′s second participation in an European Club Competition, as back in 1994-95 they played in the Korac Cup, and now they will be part of the EUROHOLD BIBL.
 
Timisoara is one of the stronger teams in the last couple of years in Romania. Starting in 2006/07 they finished second in the Romanian Cup, repeating their second place in 2007/08. In 2008/2009 they won the silver medals in the Romanian League, but their biggest succes was in 2010 when they won the Cup of Romania.   Nenad Markovic and Milos Pesic were the team′s key performers last season. Markovic averaged 14.8 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.8 assists, while Pesic had 19.8 points, 6.4 rebounds and 2.8 assists.
