The Balkan countries, which are about to participate in EuroBasket 2011 in Lithuania in September have already started preparation for the competition. Bulgaria lost their first game this summer, as they fell short against Croatia, while Macedonia defeated Poland and clinched the second spot at the Primus Cup in Ptuj, Slovenia.   Bulgaria lost their first game this summer - falling short against Croatia, for a final score of 59:72. Coach Rosen Barchovski is still trying out different options for the team, as he didn′t even take the American players EJ Rowland and Cedric Simmons to Croatia.   Macedonia finished second in the Primus Cup, after beating Poland 66:57. Predrag Samardziski, who recently signed a deal with Lietuvos Rytas scored 14 points, while Pero Antic added 11. Piotr Szczotka had 9 for Poland.
