Women Balkan International Basketball League Presentation

The Women Balkan International Basketball League is scheduled to start from the 2011/2012 season. Here is a brief presentation with the league′s goals and terms.
General Principle: The clubs presented must be registered and must participate in their domestic championships during season 2010/11. The clubs to participate in the WBIBL must not play in any other FIBA Europe competition.
System of competition:
8/10 clubs will be divided into 2 groups (A and B) of 4/5 clubs each. Each club will play the other clubs in its own group home and away games (6/8 games for each club). The teams from one country shall be put in different groups if possible.
The teams placed 2nd and 3rd in each group will qualify for hte quarter-final play-offs, which will be the best of 3 series.
The teams placed 1st in each group will qualify directly to the Final 4.
The total number of the games will be - 31/33 games if the WBIBL is with 8 teams, and 47/49 games if the teams are 10. The number of the games depends if there will be 3rd game/s in the quarter-finals play-offs.
The WBIBL shall be operated from Sofia, Bulgaria, as the headquarters of the League shall be 14 Elisaveta Bagryana str. Office 8.
