The interest in the BIBL grows - Galil-Gilboa wants to play in the League

The EUROHOLD Balkan League continues to attract more interest for Israeli teams. After Hapoel Tel-Aviv sent an official request in the beginning of July, and after that Pini Gershon′s Hapoel Holon also requested participation, a third team from Israel has expressed their desire to play.   That′s Hapoel Galil Gilboa. The team finished second in the Israeli league last season, losing the playoff finals to local powerhouse Maccabi Tel-Aviv. They also finished second in the regular season with a balance of 17-10.   Lior Lubin is the team′s head coach. During his playing career he was a regular in the Israeli NT, and now shows good potential as a coach. The team already signed some import players for the new season such as Americans Romeo Travis and Chaisson Allen.   Galil Gilboa has been champion of Israel in 2010. The team has more than 15 participations in the European Club Competitions.
