Bulgaria finished second in Bormio, Macedonia third

Bulgaria finished second at the international basketball tournament in Bormio, after losing the final game 74:80 against the home side Italy. Macedonia wrapped up the third position, after defeating Canada 72:65.
Italy led the score 28:19 after the first period, but Bulgaria managed to decrease it down to 5 - 40:35 halfway through the game. Before the closing quarter Italy managed to build a 12-point lead, but Bulgaria decreased in the end for the final score of 80:74.
Danilo Gallinari scored 20 points for Italy, while Marco Belinelli added 19. Filip Videnov and Deyan Ivanov were the top performers for Bulgaria, as Videnov had 19, while Ivanov added 12.
In the game for 3/4 place, Macedonia enjoyed a 72:65 win against Canada. KK Feni′s new signing Kiril Nikolovski scored 14 points for the winners. Dejan Stojanovski had 12 and Vlado Ilievski added 11. Levon Kendall led Canada with 13 points in the loss.News
