Croatia won the U16 title, Serbia finished 9th, Bulgaria & Montenegro relegated

Crotaia won the U16 Men European Championship Division A, which was held in the Czech Republic. In the final game the young Croatians defeated the home side - the Czech Republic by 10 points - 57:67.
Mario Hezonja, who was later named MVP of the tournament finished with 21 points and 10 rebounds. Karlo Zganec also added a double-double - 11 points and 11 boards.
Martin Peterka scored 21 and grabbed 14 rebounds for the Czech Republic.
Hezonja, who was named MVP averaged 20.0 points, 8.2 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 2.2 steals over 29.1 minutes per game in 9 games.
Serbia finished 9th, after defeating Italy 83:75 in the game for 9/10 place, as Dusan Ristic led his team with 24 points and 11 rebounds.
The other Balkan countries - Bulgaria and Montenegro finished 15th and 16th and got relegated to Division B. Aleksandar Vezenkov of Bulgaria finished as the tournament′s top scorer, averaging 27.1 points per game.
