EuroBasket 2011: Serbia with a win against Italy, Israel lost to Germany

Group B: Serbia - Italy 80:68
 
Serbia started their participation on EuroBasket 2011 with a win by 12 points against Italy - 80:68. Dusan Ivkovic′s team played really strong in the second and in the fourth quarter in ordre to come out as winners. In the end of the third period Italy was down by just 4 points, but an 11:0 Serbia run crushed their chances of getting the win.
 
Milos Teodosic had a strong game, finishing with 15 points and 8 assists. Milenko Tepic also added 15, while Milan Macvan came off the bench adding 14 along with 8 rebounds, missing only one shot.
 
Andrea Bargnani scored 22 for Italy and was one rebound away from a double-double finishing with 9.
Germany - Israel 91:64   Israel suffered a heavy defeat against Germany, who was led by their superstar Dirk Nowitzki.   Nowitzki scored 25 points in just 27 minutes, while Chris Kaman added 18 points and 10 boards in the win. Robin Benzing added 12.   Guy Pnini scored 20 for Israel, and Lior Eliyahy finished with 11 and 6 rebounds.   In the second day Serbia is playing Latvia, and Israel is facing France.
